I’m going to be a freshman at Harvard this fall. I want to major in some area of science because that’s my interest and I either want to become a surgeon or go into research, specifically in genetic engineering. I was thinking biology, biochemistry, or just chemistry. Would one be better/provide a better foundation or does it not make any difference, and do you have any other suggestions?
that’s true, there is no specific "pre med" major at Harvard.

I want to be a pediatrician (child’s doctor), and I live in the UK and want to go to Hugh Baird College and there is this course called the BTEC National Diploma Science (Medical) and it seems the best but is there anyone who has medical experience like a doctor or anyone who can guide me to the right choices after GCSE’S in college? xx

I will be entering college in fall and while i’m almost positive i want to go the pre med track i don’t know what to major in. I know there is no requirement to major in the sciences to go to medical school, but would it be a bad idea to study something like history ,instead of a science? What are the advantages and disadvantages of picking a non-science major?

Ok well i am a sophomore in highschool and i want to go to medical school, My GPA for my freshmen year was a 2.8 (I really slacked off), and my GPA for the first semester of softmore year is a 3.3. I did not take any science for my freshmen year but i am taking biology for my sophomore year, and i have a B+ right now. Can anyone give me advice on what i should improve and do to make my junior and senior year way better so i might be able to go to medical school? And what exactly is the GPA requirment to get into medical school?
