Hey, Im in college at Florida State University and I know that I need to begin my Medical School application my Junior year (Im a sophomore)…I have been searching and I havent found a place where I could dig up the GPA requirements and etc for Morehouse School of Medicine. (I am looking at being a neurologist or pediatrician) I just want to know MCAT scores, GPA requirement, etc…. I really appreciate you reading this. Oh and where you did you get the info from?

I know the odds for Law school are most likely going to be greater. But somewhere I heard that the Undergrad degree choice really doesn’t matter — really only your GPA along with your MCAT scores is what forms your admission profile.

Any help would greatly be appreciated.

I’m going to be starting college in fall of 2010 and the university of rochester. i’m going there for pre-med, but for my graduate studies i really want to attend johns hopkins medical school. i know it’s really competitive, and i was wondering if anyone knew any of the requirements for getting into johns hopkins? like for mcat scores, gpa, courses, extracurriculars, and anything else i may need?

and have a 3.9 gpa, high MCAT scores, are a registered EMT, and have research experience, will it be difficult to get into medical school?

My question is mainly about the quality of the undergrad school. Do you need to go to a top 10 school to get in easily? Is a number 80 school OK?

Is it possible to get into med school after taking two years of community college, and then two years of university (after exchanging)? Does it look bad on a medical school application if you take two years of community college for your AA and then two years for BA in university? Or do they look mostly at MCAT scores and GPA? I’m thinking of applying after college, but I don’t know what my chances would be after doing 2 and 2 instead of 4 straight at a university. Thanks

Here’s the deal.
I’m 13 years old.
I have a 100. 3 average (which is a 4.0 G.P.A)
And the only Medical School I want to go to is Harvard Medical.
My college years will be a total waste if I don’t get there.
So, what do I do?
I know the amazing MCAT scores but what else?
I’m a pretty good debater for a first year and I am willing to debate for 3 or 4 more years.
I am more than willing to do community service.
I study Latin.
Am almost fluent in Polish and plan on learning Japanese and German.
Please, just give me any advice.
Realistic stuff.

I am in all honors classes and have been consistently 1 or 2 on the Honor Roll.
I plan on going to either John Hopkins or Cornell Undergrad, or if I am lucky and get accepted harvard Undergrad.

Also, can I start applying to Medical Schools before I get my MCAT scores? I plan on taking my MCAT this May, and I already received my BA last spring (and fulfilled all my pre-reqs)- what’s the earliest semester I can apply for?

I am in my Senior Year of H.S and I am planning to go into Pre Medicine. I want to major in Chemistry at Fordham University for undergrad. in order to go into Medical School. I want to go into Fordham because it has a descent reputation, which is somewhat important for Medical School. I know that Fordham University is not the best but Medical School look more at your gpa and MCAT scores, volunteer experience, research and shadowing… tell me something I don’t know. But what I’m saying is that, if I have a really good gpa and MCAT score will I be able to get into Medical School if I go to Fordham. Going into a top medical school does not really matter to me because I don’t want to go into research, I want to go into General Surgery because it is a field that not many people go into and I can take advantage of. Is there any one who is in medical school, a doctor or got accepted who I can stay in contact with. If you are, please give me your email, I would really appreciate it. Please give me any advice! Ok well im a senior in high school and Im an aspiring physician. I love medicine in its entirety. I just need some more information on the rigors of both premed undergraduate courses and medical school curriculumn. I want to know what it takes to be successful in both schools. In addition to my question I need to know the certain requirements for Texas Medical Schools (G.P.A, MCAT Scores, other requirements).

Besides just having high grades in college and high MCAT scores, What are things that people can do to set themselves apart from the crowd? What are the best extracurricular activities to be into if you want to go to medical school?
