I am a pre-med student(first year) and I’m trying to plan ahead when it comes to taking my MCATs, researching great medical schools so that I can prepare early. I’ve lived in New York all my life and while I’ve been researching medical schools in the US(Harvard, John Hopkins,Columbia) I have also been researching Oxford. I want to branch out and maybe travel out of the country for medical school( because I am incredibly shy lol)

Is it a great medical school?
How does the government work with traveling overseas for medical school?
Is it in the same price range as Harvard or John Hopkins would be?

Please and Thanks in advance for anyone who can answer these questions for me.

ok im confused. I would like to attend Harvard to obtain my bachelor’s, and then I would like to go to medical school. Is Harvard Medical School a good choice? or is John Hopkins better?

oh and I’m a freshman so any advice on how to even get on the right track? and any prerequisites? I would like to become a heart surgeon. so any info about MCAT? what’s pre-med?

Here’s the deal.
I’m 13 years old.
I have a 100. 3 average (which is a 4.0 G.P.A)
And the only Medical School I want to go to is Harvard Medical.
My college years will be a total waste if I don’t get there.
So, what do I do?
I know the amazing MCAT scores but what else?
I’m a pretty good debater for a first year and I am willing to debate for 3 or 4 more years.
I am more than willing to do community service.
I study Latin.
Am almost fluent in Polish and plan on learning Japanese and German.
Please, just give me any advice.
Realistic stuff.

I am in all honors classes and have been consistently 1 or 2 on the Honor Roll.
I plan on going to either John Hopkins or Cornell Undergrad, or if I am lucky and get accepted harvard Undergrad.
I just need any advice.

I heard you need College, PreMed then Med school…?

Once I make it known that my awe inspiring 11 incher will be donated upon my death, I’m certain the requests will be pouring in. I was thinking of my alma matar, Stanford, but John Hopkins and Harvard medical schools are also worthy.

I use to believe that all doctors had to graduate from good and well known medical schools to become a doctor in the field they want to practice. Does one have to apply to Northwestern, or John Hopkins, or even Harvard to become a doctor, or can a local medical school do the job?

i am a sophomore in high school, can u guys tell me what subjects i need to get to a good medical school like harvard or John Hopkins? i already finished one year of biology, so I’m thinking of taking chemistry, what else do i need? I did volunteer in hospital for 58 hrs for credits & what other medical related activities can I do to be accepted in medical school?

A world-renowned medical school, for example, would be Harvard and John Hopkins, etc. A public college/state school, for instance, would be University of Wisconsin-Madison and University of Michigan-Ann Arbor.
Please help, and answer using the best of your ability. I am just trying to get a clear picture of what is or is not possible.

Hey guys. Im a Sudanese citizen living in the UAE and im studying in an American curriculum school. Im in my 11th year and I’ve been planning on studying medicine in John Hopkins. So im wondering, are there any special requirements for Sudanese citizens or people studying in the UAE to get an admission into John Hopkins. thnx in advance everybody =)
