I live in Illinois and want to go to an in state college (less tuition). What are the top 5 colleges that prepare you well for MCAT & Medical School? Ones that have a great pre med program?

I am 30 years old and considering going to Medical School.I have been a Registered nurse for 3 yrs, also I hold a diploma in Engineering from a foreign university. I only have to take Physics 1 & 2 and also Organic 1 & 2. My other sciences are more than 5 yrs old. Any suggestions on how to increase my chances of admission

I’m 14 and really interested in becoming a pediatrician in the future. How long does the schooling take & what are the requirements?
I’m taking biology, chemistry, physics, math, english lit & lang, french & i.t for 9th grade.
I live in Barbados..but what are the requirements for the U.S and the U.K.
as in, in U.K what gsce’s are needed? & U.S
How long is medical school & university etc. ?
How long would it be if I specialize and become a pediatrician?

i am a sophomore in high school, can u guys tell me what subjects i need to get to a good medical school like harvard or John Hopkins? i already finished one year of biology, so I’m thinking of taking chemistry, what else do i need? I did volunteer in hospital for 58 hrs for credits & what other medical related activities can I do to be accepted in medical school?

I attend a state University : 3.8 GPA, 3.8 major GPA (bio major)
I was active in High School extracurriculars, and was valedictorian.
I have a summer internship in an R&D lab of a chemical company (cosmetics division)
I am going to volunteer at animal shelters

I haven’t taken the MCATs yet, but I bought study prep guides. I got a 2120 on the SATs, my IQ is 141.

AND if you don’t think this is good enough to get into a top med school (Ivy League maybe?!) what can I do to increase my chances?

I want to tutor introductory science classes, but I have no idea how much a person in my position would charge. I have a BS degree in Molecular, Cellular, & Developmental Biology with honors. Additionally, I am an MD, PhD student at a top-ranked medical school. I have lots of experience tutoring classes. Anyone know how much is a good rate for individual tutoring?

i hav a friend/classm8 i was friends with and we finished as friends. i deleted him off my networking friends list & he sent me a highly abusive, lenghty & frankly phycotic message on my networking inbox even tho he was deleted. so i reported & blocked him.

i know for a fact he wants to apply for 2010 medical school start in the UK (applications from july-august 2009). If he was accepted as a Dr, the public is NOT safe he’s a danger 2 society as he is poisonus, deranged & mentally ill. He also obessed about poisoning and KILLING my boyfriend, obsessed about DEAD BODIES & SUICIDE & openly amitted me he cant do councelling because he knows they’ll section him.
and on top of it he knows whr i live & where i hang out and my brother, was thinking of calling the police but dont know where 2 start & what to expect

I know everyone keeps saying im too young to think about college and all, but i want to be very prepared.
Firstly I need tips to get through High school, so I can get into a good college.
I would love to go to Harvard Medical School after wards. I want to go to Medical School to become an anesthesiologist.
But the problem is, im suck on how to go about all this. I don’t even know any good colleges to go to, yet. I should also add, i am also still looking for other Medical Schools, because I know it wont be easy getting into Harvard.
Yes, I understand im not even in High School yet. Though I am really wanting to achieve my goals. So of course I need tips to do better.
If this helps, I get mostly B’s with an occasional A. Though, I should add in math (I am in an Seventh grade, plain math class.)
I sometimes get an C. My grades are usually close to an higher level, but close isn’t good enough. Lastly I must add that my best subject would have to be English/Literature(at my school its all in one class). If I do get an A, its most likely in there, but I do also get more than one A sometimes(including the one in English/Literature).
I never study, and I admit I don’t do my homework very often. So besides studying, and doing my homework have any tips for me?
I know, and im not scwered just yet though. But when you say read, do you mean read informational books, or any book? Also im still in confusion on how i can be outstanding, and how I can stand up. Thats why I asked this. Your answer was just a little harsh, just a little, but a slap in the face is what i need. none of my faimly has been very sucsessful in their lives, yet. I dont think that i have much faimly who even went to college & i know its not about them, its about me. but everyone compares me to them & is like your not going to go anywhere in life. Which i know is not true, everyone starts somewhere & i just need to work very hard.

My brother & sister still dont see it, there failing badly in high school. But that wont be me.
I am also considering KU college then their medical school. I have learned they are very well known for their medical school, if i am correct.

im going to be a senior in high school. im on the top 5% of my calss and with a very high gpa (4.0). im also really strong at music and track&field. so probably i have potential to get into a very good college… but as i heard that, the hardest part to becoming a doctor is to get in a good medical school…and someone even say that the 4-year undergrat isnt that important…as long as you take required science courses and if possible, be strong at more different fields. so i decide to stay in new york…i want some suggestions about schools which are strong at sciences. or, if you think i better go to some top schools like ivy leagues, you are welcomed to state your opinion.
