If I major in psychology do I meet all the requirements to go to medical school to become a psychiatrist? 1

I realize that I may have worded my previous question wrong, so that’s why I am asking again.
What I actually wanted to know is that if I major in psychology do I meet all the requirement to go to medical school to become a psychiatrist or do I have to take additional classes?

Please and Thank You.
:)

Once again i’m entirely sure which category to put this in, so I put it in both, sorry for the double question ^^;
And yes I am completely aware of how many years it takes,
And yes I do mean psychiatrist NOT psychologist. But the school I am going to has a psychology major.
I simply want to know if that major is enough. :)

Is one year of undergraduate English an absolute requirement for US medical schools? 3

Can other courses that involve just as much writing, like some social science courses, be used to substitute English.
If so, where?
I don’t really mind taking English. It’s just that it is not a requirement here in Canada.. and if there are some schools there that don’t require it, I’d rather take courses that interest me.

What is the best language to minor in for medical school acceptance? 1

I am currently a pre-med undergraduate student who is planning on majoring in Biology or Neuroscience. My dream medical school is UCLA or UCSF. I looked at the requirements for UCLA medical school and they highly recommend to take Spanish courses but I have already fulfilled that requirement in high school. I will take a language course in college though because I want to but I want to take Chinese or Japanese because I have an interest in those two languages.
Do you suggest to go with the Spanish in order to increase my chances for UCLA or take the languages I have an interest in?

***Also, I would like some general suggestions for me to increase my chances in getting accepted into medical schools***

THANK YOU SOO MUCH!
