Question about medical school admission? 1

I have a question regarding admission to medical schools. Do medical schools look at the grades you get at a community college and the college you transferred out to. Or do they look at just the UC/CSU transfer school?
Because I kinda messed up on my year and ended up with a low gpa..if i get my ass in gear, is it still possible to go to med school?

Get into a UK medical school without top GCSE results? 1

If you’ve achived excellent A Level results (AAA/AAB), but did poorly in your A Levels for whatever reason and only managed C grades, how will this effect ones application to a medical school. Are they that bothered about GCSE grades or do you have to have a perfect academic record straight through to be deemed a serious candidate?
poorly in your GCSE* not A levels, typo sorry.

medical school requirements? 2

I just received my BS, i was a double major in History and English. I wanted to pursue a law degree so i can work in intellectual property law. Trademark, copyright, and patent infringement type of work. I did well in school. I always liked law but i always loved science. So I want to try Pre-Med. I’m used to working hard so the work overload required doesn’t scare me. Since i already graduated from a 4 year college 3 months ago do i have to go to another 4 year college for a Chemistry or Biology or Physics major to become a candidate for medical school?

Also, i heard Medical schools like diversity, meaning they don’t want science majors. But if i’m a history and English major and didn’t take pre-med required courses like biology how can i possibly be a candidate? I need to go to school again?

Would Harvard Medical School accept someone from CU? 1

What is the difference in cost between a 2 year university and medical school? 2

I know medical school costs a lot and takes almost 12 years or so but does 1 year of medical school cost about the same as 1 year of university school.

What kinda impression do I need to make to one of the best Medical Schools in the U.S Nation? 1

I either plan to major in Neuroscience or Biology. Besides making good grades and getting almost nearly a perfect score on the MCAT’s is there anything else that I should be doing, cuz looking at how competitive it is to get into Medical School no a days, what else should I do to impress them? Does studying abroad impress them? Does double-majoring in another subject, like English, Art, History, etc. impress them? What else should I keep in mind to help me get into the top medical schools in the United States?

Best medical schools in the south east? 4

I’m a junior in high school and i’m starting to plan my future in college. I want to be a pediatrician so i’ll major in science my first four years of undergraduate, but I don’t know where I would go to medical school. I live in Alabama, and I know about UAB, but I want to go somewhere else. I think I could get a scholarship with my grades and test scores, so going out of school is an option, so what are the best medical schools in the south?

Medical School Requirements? 2

I would like to go to medical school after college. However, I’ve been told that most med. schools require students to take one full year of chemistry and that they generally look down upon students who use AP credit to skip general chem and bio classes, which is what I did before anyone told me this. Is all this true?

Exact quote:
"Also, for those of you with AP credits, most schools will not accept AP credit for the basic science courses: general chemistry, biology, organic chemistry, and physics."

I need help! Thanks!
